Whether you want to prepare your child for the next academic year or you just want to keep their brains ticking over this summer, our summer booster classes will ensure your child offer maths and English booster classes to meet all your child's academic needs. We will be running classes for upper key stage 2 (years 5 and 6), Key stage 3 (years 7-9) and GCSE years 10 and 11. Click the link to view the summer time table.

Accuracy and timing are by far the single most important factors for any student to perform well at 11 + level. At ASJ tuition we instill in our students a true understanding of both and we work extensively in order to ensure that students are perfectly prepared for the examinations.
Key Stage 2 Booster
When teaching Mathematics to primary school students we put strong emphasis on ensuring that the students have a firm and workable understanding of the foundations of the relevant Mathematical principles. We are also diligent in ensuring that students always have their lessons structured based upon the specific aspects they happen to be struggling with. Finally we make sure that each student has a homework programme which reflects what they need to work on in order to improve.
In English we focus on relevant grammar, spelling, comprehension and writing techniques. Our programme is uniquely designed in order to incorporate the classic grammar rules, but also allow students to explore wider forms of relevant literature and to begin working on how to approach longer writing tasks. Through years of teaching experience we know how integral reading is to any student’s improvement in English and subsequently other subjects, so we have composed relevant reading lists which we provide for parents.
SATS
We have developed a unique and highly effective programme for providing the best possible support for all students sitting their SAT’s examinations. For many students the prospect of facing formal examinations for the first time will be a daunting experience. At ASJ we aim to provide an environment where all pupils feel supported and confident that they are preparing for success.

GCSE'S
English is arguably the most significant subject any student can undertake at GCSE and the most important for any student to pass. Our qualified English teachers work hard in ensuring that pupils are familiar and confident with the content and demands of the English Language and Literature papers. We put considerable emphasis on; how any student scores in an exam, what an examiner is looking for in both English language and literature, teaching students how to structure responses using evidence from texts and being able to substantiate their answers, and possessing a detailed knowledge of all relevant GCSE texts including their Poetry Anthology. We cover all examination boards providing past paper practice to ensure that students are confident when they sit for their GCSE's.
